About the role Working as a member of the Maintenance Team and ensuring the efficient operation of plant equipment through delivery of the sites maintenance plan and longer term strategy. At the interface between production and engineering you will be an effective communicator and seek to find timely resolutions to reactive issues. * Completion of Preventative Maintenance and ensuring Compliance related maintenance tasks are completed on time * Provide diagnostic support to production to help resolve reactive maintenance issues * Where required take the lead on small projects and ensure timely completion * Develop new preventative maintenance tasks * Act as a mechanical or electrical lead within the team * Ensure all compliance documentation is updated as required * Support in the continuous improvement of maintenance systems About you * A Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical qualification * Basic MS Office skills incl. Word, Excel and Outlook * Great communication skills, with the ability to understand and solve problems, show empathy with internal customer issues and liaise with members of the management team where appropriate * A self starter and confident to work independently, seeking assistance where required * Flexible and adaptable to react to unexpected tasks or customer demand * Willingness to develop cross skills to other areas of the maintenance team (mainly electrical or mechanical) Success Differentiators * You will be SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) and customer focused * You will be a Team player, working together with those in your team and within other departments/sites * You will be organised with good attention to detail and a can do attitude Background Checks Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to complete background checks including a DBS check and 5 year’s employment/educational references – these will need to be completed before the successful candidate can start the role.
