We are seeking a motivated and reliable Materials Services Officer to join the Procurement & Logistics Service at Downe Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in ensuring vital healthcare supplies reach wards and departments efficiently and on time.

As a Materials Services Officer, you will play a key role in supporting hospital services by managing the ordering, receipt, storage and distribution of medical and non-medical supplies. Working closely with ward and departmental staff, you will help maintain stock levels and ensure healthcare teams have the resources they need to deliver excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and replenish stock using electronic materials management systems.
• Deliver supplies to wards and departments across the hospital site.
• Unpack, store and rotate stock in line with established procedures.
• Receive, check and process deliveries accurately.
• Assist with stock control and inventory checks.
• Operate equipment such as barcode scanners and materials handling equipment.
• Liaise with ward and departmental staff regarding stock requirements and supply issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised stores environment.
• Support other onsite stores and services as required.
