The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Technician.

This position is a full time permanent position working 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday with a pay rate of £30,409 per year

The successful candidate will be required to work a mandatory call out rota (approx. 1 in 4 weekends).

The Role:

In this key role, you will be working within a team of Engineers and responding to breakdown maintenance, swiftly identifying and resolving issues to minimise downtime. You will also be involved in:

• General Mechanical fitting, component assembly/dissemble.
• Centrifugal Pumps.
• All types of welding.
• Fabrication
• Threaded & welded pipe work.
• Machining (Milling and Turning).
• Industrial environments.
• Must adhere to all Health and Safety standards and regulations, PPE requirements at all times

The Person:
To be considered, you will need:

• NVQ in mechanical engineering would be beneficial; or
• Knowledge/experience of mechanical engineering and working within a manufacturing environment
• A strong work ethic
• The ability to work on your own initiative and within a team
• Good communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Excellent time keeping
