Are you ready to take the next step in your laboratory career? We’re recruiting a Medical Laboratory Assistant (Band 3) to join a dynamic and fast-paced laboratory environment in Belfast. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to essential healthcare services while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge equipment and procedures.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Receive, label, catalogue, and process clinical specimens
• Operate analysers and instruments under supervision
• Maintain clean and efficient workspaces
• Assist with data entry and solution preparation
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Manage stock levels and prepare supply orders
• Rotate across multiple laboratory sections
• Adhere to Health & Safety protocols
• Support a 24-hour service including weekends and public holidays

✅ Essential Criteria

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• 4 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grades A–C) + 1 year relevant lab experience
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
• 2+ years relevant laboratory experience

Additional requirement:

• Willingness to work weekend and late shifts (up to 8pm)

🌟 Desirable Criteria

• Experience using computers in a work setting
• GCSEs in Science subjects
