The Recruitment Co is currently looking for an operative to join a growing fabrication company in Barnsley.

What You Can Expect in This Role:

• Assemble and fabricate metal components such as staircases, balustrades, and structural frames for both commercial and residential projects.
• Interpret technical drawings and plans to accurately complete assembly and finishing tasks.
• Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet company standards and client specifications.
• Operate machinery, hand tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised work space, promoting productivity and safety.

What We Need From You:

• Experience in metal works or a similar trade environment, with proficiency in welding (desirable) and using hand tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Team player with effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as needed.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and operate heavy equipment.
