Shift work including working weekends and Public holidays as per rota shifts start 9am to 9pm
Hours per week- Min 23 max 34.5
PATIENT EXPEDITOR ROLE
The main elements of the post include providing a high level of administration support, hospitality, advanced communication and leadership. The post holder must have strong communication skills and work proactively to enhance the timeliness of the patient’s journey.
ED TRACKER ROLE
The post holder will work as an integral part of the Emergency Department’s Multidisciplinary Team to ensure all patients are Seen & treated within the Priorities for Action (PFA) targets.
The post holder will be required to provide timely information on all aspects of patients care within their journey in the ED.
The post holder will work as an integral part of the Patient Pathways and Multidisciplinary Teams to ensure all patients for admission or referral to an ambulatory pathway whilst ensuring high levels of patient care, safety and user experience.

KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- The patient tracker will take the lead in ensuring that the patient’s
attendances meet the PFA target, by mapping the patient’s journey from
point of referral to diagnosis, treatment and outcome, as well as assessing for potential delays.
- To take an active role in supporting the Emergency Department Team in the delivery of a high quality, timely, safe and effective care.
- As lead person in patient tracking the tracker must ensure clear communication with the Sister and Consultant in Charge and escalate any issues which are delaying the patient journey
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
(a) HNC/HND or equivalent/higher qualification in an administrative related field AND 2 years’ experience in a clerical/administrative role.
OR
(b) 5 GCSE’S at Grade A-C including English Language and Math’s AND 3 years’ experience in a clerical/administrative role.
I addition applicants must possess:
(a) 1 years Working experience of Computerised Information Systems e.g. Microsoft word, excel
