Reports To: Pharmacy Support Worker.
Responsibility: Goods Inwards Team Leader, Senior Pharmacy Technician, or Dispensary Manager
About the Role: Join the dedicated pharmaceutical service team as a Pharmacy Support Worker (Band 2). You will contribute to the various sections providing pharmaceutical services under the supervision of section managers. This role requires the completion of at least 4 GCSE’s including English and Maths
Key Duties and Responsibilities: As a Pharmacy Support Worker, you will:
- Assist in the receipt, storage, and issue of pharmaceutical products, including related clerical duties.
- Contribute to the assembly, labeling, and packaging of prescribed items, along with the completion of dispensing records.
- Operate the pharmacy robot and ensure computer input and maintenance of appropriate stock levels.
- Provide ward top-ups and participate in the ordering of Intravenous fluids for wards and departments.
- Play a role in the preparation of Emergency boxes and kits.
- Assist in dispensary receptionist duties, including receiving and tracking prescriptions and issuing prescribed items.
- Contribute to the orientation and training of new pharmacy staff.
- Facilitate the accurate and safe disposal of redundant medicines.
- Engage in telephone duties, recording messages, and redirecting calls.
- Maintain records, filing, and participate in weekend and statutory holiday rota.

Criteria for Application:
- 4 GCSEs grades A-G or equivalent, including Maths and English. OR
