We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our client, based in Belfast as a full-time Policy & Engagement Officer.
Our client is Northern Ireland’s Leading Public Sector Employer.
Administrator Pay Rate: £19.59 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: 04/01/2027 – possible extension

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Job Duties
- Supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of race relations policy.
- Contributing to the development and progression of the draft Framework for Race Relations.
- Engaging with stakeholders and maintaining effective relationships with minority ethnic communities and key partners.
- Providing secretariat support in the planning, organising and delivery of stakeholder forums, meetings and engagement activities, including minute taking.
- Coordinating cross-departmental working to support the delivery of policy priorities.
- Preparing Ministerial briefings, correspondence and responses for Assembly business.
- Contributing to governance activities, including performance reporting and the completion of returns.
- Supporting business planning processes and monitoring progress against departmental objectives.
- Assisting with financial monitoring and budget management activities.
- Providing policy and administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of the team’s work programme.
Further Information:
- Current hybrid working pattern of 40% in office (Monday’s & Wednesday’s) with further office attendance required subject to business need.
- Flexible Working Time (Flexi) available from day one; Flexi policy operates within core hours and bandwith hours.
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSEs including Maths & English and a degree
- A minimum of 12 months experience.
An Access NI will be required for this role
- A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
