Premises Support Officer – LARNE
Duties:
- Assist the Deputy Premises Officer to organise and facilitate reactive (defects) and annual planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule for all site accommodation and grounds which includes regular facility inspections.
- Assist the Deputy Premises Officer to oversee statutory compliance maintenance and associated remedials.
- Responsibility to manage the Port inbox, record associated work from stakeholders and monitor complaince tools to ensure works completed.
- Accompany visitors who arrive to site.
- Record and allocate incoming post.
- Contribute to the overall Health & Safety management of the Sanitary and Phytosanitary facility site liaising with DAERA Health and Safety Management and Advisors as and when required. The officer will be required to be a trained and certified First Aider.
- Establishing and maintaining good relationships with facility stakeholders.
- Deputise in periods of absence for the Deputy Premises Officer in receiving contractors and directing to relevant areas of work for other staff. Review work of such contractors when required.
- Assist the Deputy Premises Officer to ensure staff are adequately accommodated and supplied with the requisite items of furniture and equipment to meet their business needs.
- Respond to any initial enquiries regarding any accommodation related issues including the co-ordination and overall management of the Sanitary and Phytosanitary facility.
- Manage and maintain records of allocation of this office space, lockers and security fobs/passes and ensure regularly updated.
- Ensure effective coordination, planning and delivery of events using the meeting room facilities on the site. This includes liaising with the users, setting up rooms, organising caterers and organising cleaning or any security and IT support related requirements. Also includes notifications to staff of visits, parking and access arrangements and the provision of biosecurity and high visibility clothing.
- Assist with the management of media screens around the site and ensure they are up to date with relevant information for staff and visitors.
Location: Redlands Road, Larne
Start Date: ASAP (Before Friday 26th August)
Expected Duration: 4th October 2026 with possibility of extension
Work time: 9-5 Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week.
Requirements: 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English (Grade C or Above). 2 A Levels C and above.
Wage: £15.83 per hour
