Position: Programme Data Support Officer, Staff Officer (SO)

Pay Rate: £19.59 per hour

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, 9am – 5pm Mon to Fri

Duration: 4 October 2026 with possibility of extension

Start Date: 13th of April 2026

Location: Clare House, 303 Airport Rd West, Belfast.

 

 

Job Duties:

Role is within a Programme Management Officerunning a multi-project programme. Role will include:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance BI dashboards and reports to support operational and strategic decision making.
• Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and turn them into clear analytical outputs.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across reporting processes.
• Assist in automating manual reporting processes where possible.
• Contribute to a culture of data-driven improvement.

 

 

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 GCSE’s A*-C including Maths and English (must be able to show evidence)
  • A degree* in a data related discipline (must be able to show evidence)
    *Includes but not limited to: Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems Business Analytics or Mathematics / Statistics.
  • Experience
    – A minimum of 2 years’ experience of effective leadership and communication, setting and prioritising goals to meet organisational business objectives
    – At least 2 years’ experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders to meet business objectives.
    – At least 1 years’ experience of managing staff to deliver objectives

 

Desired Experience: 

• Good organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Have good knowledge of using software packages e.g., Microsoft office

• Experience of working in public sector
• Some experience working with data, reporting, or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, or similar).
