Our client is looking for a project officer to join their team!

Rate of pay: £21.99PH

Hours: 37

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Hybrid working: Required to be in the office on Tuesday & Thursday

Location: Belfast

Duration: 3-6 months possible extension

Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Duties:

Integr8 is an exciting, flagship programme which will transform how finance and HR services are delivered in the NICS. We are redesigning how our people, processes, technology, and data come together and harnessing and investing in new technologies.

The NICS relies on the services provided by Finance and HR. Those services ensure that our financial resources are managed, suppliers are paid, payments to the public are distributed and our people are recruited, developed, and supported.This programme will maximise the use of modern technology and digital advances by integrating our finance and HR services. This will involve bringing processes and information together, rather than in separate systems and locations. The programme will, where possible, automate processes and eliminate duplication and manual effort.

This role will be within the Integr8 HR Project Team and the main duties are as follows:
• Day to day proactive management of HR project plan and associated project management approaches, using PRINCE2 methodology.
• Managing the project plan on Microsoft Project, working with the HR Project team to ensure activities are captured at the right level, appropriate dependencies and delivery dates are recorded and progress against plans is monitored in accordance with reporting arrangements.
• Preparation of weekly highlight reports for Project Director
• Development of plans identifying key milestones and critical path and thereafter, ongoing monitoring of progress against plans.
• Management of project risks and associated RAID log, and appropriate escalation to Project Director
• Completion of other relevant project documentation, undertaking engagement with others as required to complete this task and to ensure all governance requirements are met.
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships and working with HR project team, the wider programme team, the BTP and with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

1. Hold a current Practitioner level qualification in PRINCE2 Project Management.

2. Experience using Microsoft Project.

3. Have at least two years’ demonstrable experience of successfully managing projects with multiple interdependent streams using the PRINCE2 project management methodology.

Desired Experience:

Experience as a Project Manager in public sector projects.
