Household Recycling Centre Attendant
- Location: Ballymena
- Salary: £13.69 per hour
- Hours: 19.5 hours/week
- May include weekends, evenings, and public holidays depending on service needs
Main Purpose
To support the daily operations of permanent or temporary Household Recycling Centres, typically as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery
- Assist and guide the public in waste disposal and segregation
- Monitor site usage and enforce access rules
- Maintain cleanliness of site and surrounding areas
- Complete operational documentation
- Support contractors and Recycling Officer
- Manage hazardous waste and traffic flow
- Control and monitor waste containers and skips
- Record waste tonnages and transfer notes
- Report site issues and complaints
- Operate site equipment and distribute grit/salt during adverse weather
