Our client, based in Dursley (GL11) are currently searching for a Quality Controller to join their team.

The role will initially be a temporary 3 month contract but is subject to change.

Hours

  • Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm (paid 7.5 hours per day)

Location

  • Dursley (GL11)

Pay

  • £10.50 per hour

Job Details for Quality Controller

Principle Role:
Quality Control for incoming raw materials and finished goods with additional Quality administration requirements

Environmental monitoring
Maintenance of data base for commercial samples and documentation and sending commercial samples when requested

Main responsibilities:

·Implementation of relevant QC testing as per the site testing schedule (pre-shipment samples, raw materials, finished product)
·Environmental monitoring (swabbing, water and air sampling)
·Maintenance of commercial samples data base and relevant documentation and sending commercial samples when requested
·To arrange analysis of samples with 3rd party laboratory on a daily basis
·Basic maintenance, validation and cleaning of laboratory equipment
·Ensure that relevant procedures and work instructions are followed
·To report any issues to the line manager and assist with the corrective actions as required
·Provide concise and accurate information to support any investigations

Administrative:

·Filing and storage of retained samples as per the site procedures
·To input and maintain relevant batch process documentation to satisfy internal policy and external accreditation requirements
·Maintenance of records of certification of analysis for incoming raw materials and finished goods

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills, including ability to follow assignments through to completion
  • Attention to detail and good follow through with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work towards deadlines
  • Ability to act on own initiative, working alone or in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Relevant experience working in the food / manufacturing environment would be an advantage
