Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge within a large-scale construction and property environment?
We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of planned maintenance, compliance, and capital investment projects. Working as part of an experienced team, you will play a key role in managing costs, monitoring budgets, supporting procurement activities, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of construction and investment programmes, ensuring value for money while maintaining excellent quality and customer satisfaction standards.
Key Duties
- Preparing specifications, drawings, bills of quantities and schedules of rates for tendering purposes.
- Supporting procurement processes and contract delivery arrangements.
- Providing professional advice on NEC3/NEC4 contract matters.
- Managing commercial risk and ensuring contractual compliance.
- Monitoring project budgets, expenditure, forecasting and cash flow.
- Analysing performance, quality and cost information to drive efficiencies.
- Producing performance reports and monitoring KPI achievement.
- Providing technical advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders.
- Supporting compliance processes and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed targets, budgets, quality standards and timescales.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants must possess one of the following:
Option 1
- Degree (Level 6 or equivalent) in a Building/Construction-related discipline and at least 1 year’s relevant experience.
Option 2
- BTEC Higher (Level 5 or equivalent) in a Building/Construction-related discipline and at least 2 years’ relevant experience.
Option 3
- Equivalent professional development and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience within a Building/Construction environment.
Essential Experience
- Experience delivering value-for-money construction programmes.
- Experience managing budgets and financial controls within NEC3/NEC4 construction contracts.
- Significant experience in at least two of the following:
- Performance monitoring, benchmarking and reporting.
- KPI monitoring and performance management.
- Providing technical construction contract advice.
- Compliance monitoring and implementation of procedures.
- Project management and delivery against agreed targets.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a professional team.
A current driving licence, or access to suitable transport to fulfil the requirements of the role, is essential.
