Salary: £19.78 per hour
Hours: Full-time / Part-time (Minimum 30 hours)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Band 6 Radiographer to join our imaging team at Ulster Hospital.
The post holder will:
- Deliver a high-quality, evidence-based CT service
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
- Participate in a 7-day working rota
- Support the supervision and training of junior staff, assistant practitioners, and student radiographers
- Undertake a structured CT training programme (if required), demonstrating flexibility and commitment to professional development
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Delivery
- Perform a wide range of CT and general radiographic examinations to a high diagnostic standard
- Demonstrate competence in CT imaging procedures and assist with interventional imaging where required
- Make informed clinical decisions based on professional knowledge and experience
- Work closely with the CT Lead Radiographer to support workflow and daily operations
- Assess patient understanding and obtain informed consent, adhering to legal frameworks where patients lack capacity
- Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives, and carers, ensuring individual needs are met
- Comply with:
- Ionising Radiation Regulations (NI) 2017
- Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (NI) 2018
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of imaging equipment
- Oversee the ordering and management of medicines/drugs in line with Trust policy, including countersigning where required
- Uphold a high standard of clinical practice and professionalism
- Participate in audit, reflective practice, and risk management to maintain service quality
Essential Criteria
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a hospital setting with modern imaging modalities, including CT
- At least 1 year of experience in CT imaging, covering a broad range of examinations

Qualifications and Registration
- Diploma of the College of Radiographers or BSc in Radiography, or equivalent qualification recognised by the HCPC
- Current HCPC registration
