We are currently recruiting Recruitment Support Officers to join our client This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a fast‑paced public sector environment, providing essential clerical and administrative support to recruitment services.

The Role

You will deliver high-quality, efficient clerical support across multiple RSSC teams, including Reception, Receipt & Delivery, and Data Transfer. You’ll be trained across all areas to ensure service continuity during busy periods and staff absence. The role involves a high level of data entry, document handling, and responding to enquiries, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical support across RSSC teams, including reception cover
  • Carry out real-time data entry onto recruitment systems and SharePoint
  • Log, process, and store pre-employment documentation securely
  • Open, receive, and distribute mail and emails appropriately
  • Assist with meeting and greeting visitors and directing enquiries
  • Transfer new starter information to customer organisations accurately
  • Maintain manual and electronic filing systems, including archiving records
  • Respond to routine enquiries via phone, email, and shared mailboxes
  • Support service improvements and follow standard operating procedures

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • 5 GCSEs (Grades A–C) including English Language (or equivalent/higher qualification)
    OR
  • At least 1 year’s experience in a clerical or administrative role

And demonstrate:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Effective communication skills to deal with staff and members of the public
