Job Title: Sales Administrator/Customer Service Administrator
Location: Newport
Salary: £23,000-£26,000 a year
Hours: Full time. Monday – Friday days regular – full time and permanent
Here at The Recruitment Co we are currently recruiting a Sales Administrator/Customer Service Administrator to work for a company based in Newport.
Your role comprises of Administrative, Customer Service and Commercial Sales duties.
You are responsible for carrying out duties efficiently, accurately and in a professional manner – reporting through to Head of Group Commercial.
Teamwork is an important part of the role and you will have the opportunity to support other members of the team as part of your normal work pattern.
Successful performance will help meet Budgetary Sales Forecasts, in turn leading to sustained, profitable company growth.
Main Job Roles
- Capture sales order requirements from existing customers (verbal, email, letter etc).
- Re-confirm details and agree requirements.
- Enter customer orders onto internal system.
- Complete ‘finished’ orders within the system.
- Liaise and handle customer credit account applications with Accounts.
- Handle all customer queries and enquiries.
- Attend NCR meetings as requested.
- Raise internal documents as necessary (Non-conformance reports, credit notes etc,).
- Update CRM with relevant information (e.g., visit reports / quotes / customer contact).
- Other duties as required.
- Work with, and report to the Head of Group Commercial to achieve budgetary forecasts.
- Price and quote customers accordingly.
- Maximise profitability in terms of market rates and available stocks.
- Maintain existing customer contact frequently.
- Call ‘in-active‘ accounts.
- Call customers who are below estimated forecasts.
- Liaise with commercial colleagues in terms of updates, points of interest, market information.
- Attend stock meetings. Monitor and action any points as necessary.
- Chase in outstanding customer debts for payment. Report any issues accordingly.
- Attend Sales / New Business meeting as requested.
Required Experience
- Previous Admin experience is essential
- Previous experience in the steel sector is desirable
- Previous background if not in steel in Manufacturing or construction is essential
