About the Company:
On behalf of our client, Rite Price, a well-established, family-owned business located on York Street, Belfast, we are seeking a dedicated Sales Advisor/Warehouse Operative. Rite Price specializes in high-quality carpets, hard flooring, and furniture, offering expert advice and excellent customer service. As the company continues to grow, they are looking for a committed individual to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in the showroom, providing advice on carpets, hard flooring, and furniture, as well as supporting warehouse operations. A strong level of numeracy, professionalism, and customer service is essential for this role. Although experience in the carpet and furniture trade is preferred, full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate products from the showroom’s wide range of carpets, hard flooring, and furniture.
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
- Manage stock in the warehouse, handle inventory, and ensure the timely processing of orders.
- Operate the till and manage payments accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized showroom and warehouse.
- Operate a forklift (if qualified) or be open to training for forklift operation.
- Support general warehouse duties, including assisting with deliveries and stock management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Numeracy skills: Must be comfortable handling money, taking measurements, and processing transactions.
- Customer service skills: Professional and pleasant manner when dealing with clients.
- Forklift experience: Preferred but not essential; training can be provided if necessary.
- Industry knowledge: Experience in the carpet, flooring, or furniture trade is beneficial, but full training will be given.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
- 1 day off during the week (to be discussed with the candidate).
- 30-minute lunch break and flexible tea breaks throughout the day.
