Our client is looking for a Scientific Officer to join their team in Lisburn (Water Utilities Regulation Group) 

Rate of Pay: £16.45 per hour Weekly Pay

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Lisburn

Hours: 9 to 5; Monday to Friday
Flexi time is available in these roles

Duration: 6 Months

Role Details:

This is a temporary appointment to provide support for the Water Utilities Regulation Group (WURG).
The role is to assist scientific staff with their day-to-day role in providing support for monitoring the compliance of water utility sites.
The post holder must have the ability to deliver results at pace and to manage work against agreed timetables and competing priorities.
The post holder will be expected to have good interpersonal and communications skills, as well as good analytical and problem-solving skills.
The post holder will be expected to work flexibly within the overall team and should be at ease in working with senior staff and communicating to external stakeholders on a daily basis.
The post holder will be expected to work on their own initiative and provide a positive contribution to the overall success of the team.
Any other duties that may be required by line management.

Essential Criteria:

Access NI will be required for this role

Desired Criteria:

Must be proficient in IT skills – including but not limited to the following:
• Microsoft Office including Word& Excel.
• ArcGIS Pro.
• Power BI.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work as part of a team and be capable to work on own initiative
Use of AI for report writing would be considered advantageous.
