Pay Rate: £17.43 per hour
Location: This post is based at Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA), Water Management Unit, 17 Antrim Road, Lisburn.
Application of the NICS Hybrid Working Policy may involve a mixture of home and office working by agreement with line management.
Start Date: ASAP
Expected Duration: 29th March 2026 with possibility of extension
Working Hours: 9am to 5pm. Monday to Friday. Flexi is available in this role.

Requirements: 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English (Grade C or Above).
Duties include but not limited to: This is a temporary appointment to provide support across Water Regulation, specifically Site Drainage/Private Sewage/ Abstraction.
- The role is to assist scientific staff with their day-to-day role, provide support on application processing, GIS work and Compliance Site Visits.
- The post holder must have the ability to deliver results at pace and to manage work against agreed timetables and competing priorities.
- The post holder must be physically capable of walking significant distances, so to partake in required site visits and hold a full UK driving licence.
- The post holder will be expected to have good interpersonal and communications skills, as well as good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The post holder will be expected to work flexibly within the overall team and should be at ease in working with senior staff and communicating to external stakeholders daily.
The post holder will be expected to work on their own initiative & provide a positive contribution to the overall success of the team.
Any other duties that may be required by line management.
