Senior Recruitment Officer (Band 4)

Recruitment Shared Service Centre, Armagh

Salary: £25,147 – £27,596 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Directorate: Shared Services, Finance Directorate

About the Role

The Recruitment Shared Service Centre (RSSC) is seeking a motivated and organised Senior Recruitment Officer to support the delivery of a high-quality recruitment and selection service across the Health and Social Care (HSC) sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced recruitment or HR professional to manage a varied recruitment caseload while supervising Recruitment Officers, providing guidance on recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee end-to-end recruitment and selection activities.
  • Supervise and support Recruitment Officers, ensuring workloads are effectively managed.
  • Ensure pre-employment checks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide recruitment advice and guidance to managers and candidates.
  • Monitor recruitment activity using e-recruitment systems and management information.
  • Identify and resolve recruitment delays, issues and queries.
  • Support service improvement initiatives and recruitment events.
  • Contribute to achieving service targets and key performance indicators.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must have either:

  • 2 A Levels (or equivalent/higher qualification) plus 18 months’ clerical/administrative experience, including 12 months in HR or Recruitment

OR

  • 3 years’ clerical/administrative experience, including 12 months in HR or Recruitment

In addition, candidates must demonstrate:

  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and supervise staff.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and solve problems effectively.
  • Understanding of recruitment and selection employment legislation.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working within a high-volume recruitment environment.
