My client based in Redcar is currently looking for a Sewing Machinist to join their team on a temp to perm basis.

They are a leading manufacturer of dry suits and is a key supplier in the diving and water sports industry.

The ideal candidate would have some experience of single needle lock stitch and have used over locking machines previously.

Applicants with limited experience would be considered.

Duties will include:

• Assembling and stitching together complex dry suits, dry bags and associated products
• Following work instructions and assembly sequences
• Drawing threads through needles and adjusting machine functions to meet the requirements of the garment
• Working with a variety of fabrics including trilaminate dry suit fabric
• Checking finished work against the pattern instructions
• Ensuring our high quality standards are met for all products
• Recording the number of items produced
• Performing general maintenance tasks such as cleaning and oiling on sewing machines

Rate: £10.61ph basic, £18.25ph overtime

Hours: Mon-Thur 8-00am until 5-00pm. Fri 8-00am until 1-00pm.

Role: Immediate start, temp to perm for the right candidate
