Statistical Officer – Belfast
Position: Statistical Officer
Pay Rate: £19.59 per hour
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, Flexible hours; Monday to Friday
Duration: 4th of October, with possibility of extension
Start Date: 03/08/2026
Location: Colby House
Job Duties:
This role within the Administrative Data Research Northern Ireland (ADR NI) Research Support Unit (RSU) will assist in the development of the Longitudinal Education Outcomes Northern Ireland (LEO NI) dataset.
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSE’s A*-C including Maths and English (must be able to show evidence)

Applicants must have At least a second class honours degree [2.2] that includes at least one module in statistics, data analysis or social science research methods

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills
-
Demonstrated experience in the use of data for diverse purposes such as statistical analysis, research, policy development, and operational support.

In-depth understanding of analytical methodologies
-
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver high-profile, time-sensitive projects to a high standard.

Strong organizational skills

Security Clearance: The post-holder will be required to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance upon commencement of the role.
Desired Experience:

Desirable skills include SQL, Stata, SPSS
