Position: Statistical Officer

AO Pay Rate: £18.48 per hour

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday with flexible working arrangements (core hours 10am-12pm; 2pm-4pm)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Castle Buildings, Stormont Estate, Belfast BT4 3SL

Job Duties:

The main responsibilities and duties of the post-holder will include, but are not limited to: provide advice, guidance and a full analytical research, data collection and monitoring & evaluation service to policy teams working on Public Appointments and Good Relations. Tasks could include sourcing and quality assuring data,providing advice on monitoring and evaluation and using SPSS to do statistical analysis, producing official statistics report, producing management information reports, survey work including sample and questionnaire design; respond to ad hoc data queries; represent the branch/department at liaison/steering groups and other meetings as required

Please note full attending is required during mandatory training.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Must have 5 GCSEs including Maths & English (must be able to show certificates)
  • Degree
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience with report writing.
  • Familiar with using SPSS or other statistical package.
  • Experience using R or Power BI would be desirable.
