Our client, A Large public sector organisation, based in Stormont is looking for a Statistical Officer to join their team.

Duration: March 2026 with possible extension

Rate of pay: £19.59

Location: Stormont

Hours: Full time

Start date: ASAP

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creation of a data collection template to collect information from HSC Social Work team in HSC Trusts.
• Engage and liaise DoH Social Work policy colleagues and social work teams in HSC Trusts
• Respond to queries and issues regarding the data template used to collect information on Social Work caseloads, including ensuring that these returns are received within agreed timeframe
• Management of the data collection process
• Analyse the information submitted by HSC Trusts and present findings in a Statistical report and statistical dashboard.
• Provide routine updates on progress to PSAB management
Respond to internal and external information requests on this work
Essential Criteria:

Microsoft Office, including EXCEL and Word
Data Processing and Management
Statistical Analysis Software, including R, SAS or SPSS (Though not essential)

Qualifications
At least a second class honours degree [2.2] that includes at least one module in statistics, data analysis or social science research methods; OR
At least a second class honours degree [2.2] and a Royal Statistical Society award of at least Certificate level; OR
A postgraduate degree that includes at least one module in statistics, data analysis or social science research methods.
