Job Opportunity: Statistical Officer
Location: Belfast City Centre
Pay: £17.09 per hour (Paid Weekly)
Hours: 37 hours per week, 9 – 5, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Up to December 2024
Key Responsibilities:
Specifically the postholder will be required to:
- Assist with providing advice to the department on the monitoring and evaluation of the NIR Development Programme (NIRDP) 2014-2020.
- Monitoring and evaluation are key components of the NIRDP, which includes performance monitoring indicators and targets and evaluation plans over its life-cycle. SASB conducts monitoring and evaluation of the RDP, including annual reports and evaluation of the entire programme.
- Assist in carrying out research as necessary to support and evaluate the RDP.
- Assist with the production and publication of the annualNational Statistics publication ‘The Size and Performance of the NI Food and Drinks Processing Sector’
- Other ad hoc work includes assisting with the annual “Statistical Review of Northern Ireland Agriculture” and carrying out surveys and research to support equality screening in RDP projects.
Essential Criteria:
Second Class Honors Degree with a substantial component in statistics or social research
Desirable Criteria:
Research experience
