We are currently recruiting for an admin officer based in the Belfast Area. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork, ANI clearance has been completed.

Duration: 6-12 months

Rate of pay: £17.09

Hours of work: (37 hours), 5 days per week – Flexible working hours between 8am-6pm

 Key Responsibilities:

NISRA is transforming the Labour Force Survey to an online first new survey called the Northern Ireland Labour Market Survey (LMS).  This post is required to develop new data processing systems to facilitate the production and publication of labour market statistics at NI and UK levels. LMS data collection started in October 2023.  The postholder is required to:

(1) Develop validation rules for the processing of LMS data;

(2) Write SQL scripts to validate and clean LMS data;

(3) Edit, impute and code LMS data in SQL;

(4) Write SQL scripts to create LMS Derived Variables;

(5) Process LMS data to meet the analytical requirements of NISRA ELMS and ONS;

(6) Develop a Manual to fully document all procedures relating to the processing of LMS data;

Essential Criteria applicants must have:

• five GCSE/GCE (or equivalence) passes (at A, B or C) with Maths and English.

( Proof of certs required ) We cannot pass your application without them

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an administrative role
• The post holder needs to be competent in understanding and writing SQL code to meet the requirements of the post.
• Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to use own initiative.
