Hours Available
Two shift patterns available (both include working every 2nd weekend):

Option 1:

• 35 hours per week
• 5 out of 7 days
• Shift times between 07:30am – 8:30pm

Option 2:

• 32.5 hours per week
• 5 out of 7 days
• Shift times between 07:30am – 8:30pm

Rate of Pay

• Monday – Friday: £12.51 per hour
• Saturday & after 8pm: £17.64 per hour
• Sunday: £22.90 per hour

Support Services Assistants typically work within hospital settings to ensure a safe, clean, and well‑managed environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Duties may include:

• Cleaning wards, clinical areas, offices, and public spaces to hospital standards
• Assisting with patient meal service, including delivering food and collecting trays
• Handling waste disposal safely, including clinical and domestic waste
• Stocking supplies such as cleaning materials, PPE, and ward equipment
• Ensuring infection prevention and control procedures are followed
• Supporting staff with general housekeeping duties
• Providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
