The Recruitment Co are currently working with the Housing Executive to recruit for a Technical Officer.

Main Duties:

• To complete pre and post inspections on organisational stock.
• Carrying out a technical assessment of properties for which a grant application has been received and preparing a costed schedule of work, specifying items to be grant aided in accordance with PSIS Technical guidance.
• Meeting the requirements of the Occupational Therapists recommendations for internal work required under disabled facilities grants, considering the most satisfactory course of action in determining the type of grant and works to be carried out for all mandatory, discretionary and energy efficiency grants.
• Ensuring that all plans submitted in support of individual applications meet the technical requirements of the scheme.
• Inspect individual applications using the approved schedule of rates and confirm that they are in compliance with the PSIS costing policy.
• Carrying out inspections to verify that works are completed to a satisfactory standard and to the organisation’s specifications and recommended payment.
• Ensuring proper governance is applied in all technical decisions.
• Engaging with a range of customers and partners including grant applicants, contractors, statutory bodies and the organisation’s colleagues.

Your Profile:

* Minimum one year of relevant trades experience.

* Relevant Trade or Degree level qualification.
