Our client is looking for a Energy & Resource Efficiency Technical Officer to join their team. This is an exciting permanent role based in Belfast City Center
Rate of pay: £17.94
Hours: 37

Main Duties:
This section provides an overview of the main duties of Technical Officer role. The duties for the role are as follows:
– Identify energy and resource efficiency projects that deliver cost savings, growth and profitability for business clients.
– Maximise time spent with business clients offering Invest NI Energy and Resource Efficiency support.
– Actively contribute to and facilitate achievement of overall team targets so that business clients’ cost saving objectives are met.
– Develop networks and relationships with stakeholders relevant to programme delivery, including the provision of presentations where required.
– Develop networks and relationships with staff within other Invest NI Teams to promote Energy and Resource Efficiency support.
– Communicate and meet regularly with other team members as required.
– Develop and maintain skills and knowledge required to deliver effective support and advice to clients.
– Comply with internal Invest NI procedures and maintain data integrity.
– Contribute at and report to monthly team meetings.
– Carry out any other duties to meet the business needs of the Energy and Resources Efficiency team.
Essential Criteria:
All applicants must demonstrate that they meet the following selection criteria by the closing
date for applications.
1. Recent experience working successfully on both team based, and individual projects focused in the Energy & Resource Efficiency environment, including manufacturing with a focus on efficiency improvements, heating industry, energy efficiency and generation.
2. Recent experience in sourcing and analysing information from relevant technical or business sources and making recommendations to a customer/stakeholder to support improvements.
3. Working knowledge of up-to-date energy and resource efficient technologies with experience of advising customers.
4. Experience of developing and nurturing credible effective relationships with a proven ability to influence stakeholder/customers to achieve successful outcomes.
5. Possess a full driving licence and have use of a car for business purposes OR have access to a form of transport which will permit travel throughout Northern Ireland to meet the requirements of the post in full, both in a timely and effective manner.
6. Experience of working to short deadlines and using good judgment and initiative to identify priorities and effectively manage competing priorities whilst ensuring high-quality outputs and delivery of commitments within set timescales.
Recent has been defined as ‘within the past 5 years’.

Your annual leave entitlement will be 25 days per annum with an additional 12 Public and
Privilege holidays. The leave year runs from 1 st February to 31 st January. Leave entitlement in the period prior to the start of the new leave year is calculated on a pro-rata basis.
