The Recruitment Co. is urgently recruiting for a Upender FLT Operator to join our clients team based in the Baglan area. Paid Weekly!

Rate of Pay: £11.23 + 30% shift allowance = £14.60ph

Hours of work: Full time: 12 hour shifts 6.30-6.30 with a mixture of days and nights. Some weeks are less shifts than others. Hours work out at an average of 42 hours per week over a 4 week period.

Contract: Temp to perm after 12 weeks subject to meeting below criteria

Purpose

Move parent reels from the end of the machine to the Warehouse in compliance with the working instructions and the safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

• Move the wrapped and labelled Parent Reels from the end of the machine to the Warehouse
• Prepare, move and place the parent reels from the end of the machine to the wrapper if required by the layout of the site
• Weight, wrap and label the reels if required
• Record details in the stock management system if required
• Apply stickers in line with quality procedure
• Operate Forklifts and Clamp trucks safely, complete daily checks and report faults
• Operate any other needed equipment in accordance with training guidelines
• Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with the work instructions
• Assist with the operation and cleaning of the machine when available, including all tasks where trained
• Comply with all defined standards for quality, environment and Health and Safety
• To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
• To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to

Skills required:

• Has previous experience working in a busy manufacturing environment
• Forklift truck driving experience and hold a current counterbalance forklift truck licence – preferably RTITB Accredited
• Excellent communication skills
• Works well in a team and individually
