Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Rate of Pay: £14.50 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Work Coach to join our team in Cookstown. This role involves providing tailored coaching and support to claimants, helping them overcome barriers to employment and move toward sustained work. You will play a pivotal role in delivering an excellent service, engaging with claimants, employers, and partner organizations.
Main Duties:
Setting Direction:
- Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring claimants receive tailored coaching and support.
- Understand the claimant journey and connect individuals with relevant support.
- Assess vulnerabilities and implement appropriate safeguards.
- Adapt to changes in work practices, demonstrating resilience.
Engaging People:
- Liaise with Specialist Providers for additional claimant support.
- Encourage claimants to utilize job platforms and register for vacancies.
- Build positive relationships with claimants, promoting self-sufficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the local job market and statutory/non-statutory resources.
- Advocate for claimants with employers and external partners.
Delivering Results:
- Authenticate claimant identities and issue Personal Security Numbers.
- Provide tailored advice to help claimants overcome barriers and develop skills.
- Create and review personalized Claimant Commitments.
- Monitor participation in departmental programs and provide ongoing support.
- Prepare for interventions using relevant systems and ensure effective diary management.
Corporate Objectives:
- Adhere to security, fraud prevention, and Health & Safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with policies and support corporate goals such as reducing sickness absence.
- Accurately update ICT systems and handle sensitive information responsibly.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C), including Maths and English, or equivalent Level 2 qualifications.
- 2 A-Levels in separate subjects.
- Candidates must undergo an Access NI Check.
