Job Role: Work Coach
- Pay: £14.50 per hour (Paid Weekly)
- Location: Kilkeel, Northern Ireland
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
- Length of Assignment: 51 Weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
Job Duties:
The Work Coach plays a vital role in assisting claimants to:
- Prepare for work.
- Secure and maintain sustained employment.
- Progress in their careers and increase their earnings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use effective coaching techniques to conduct Work Focused Interviews and guide claimants into work.
- Engage with claimants both online and face-to-face, using a range of channels with an emphasis on digital services.
- Motivate and challenge individuals or groups of claimants, ensuring all interactions remain focused on employment outcomes.
- Support claimants and their families to achieve greater financial independence through work.
Main Job Activities:
Setting Direction:
- Caseload Management: Provide tailored coaching and support to meet individual claimant needs effectively.
- End-to-End Journey: Understand the claimant journey, signposting to appropriate support and provisions as needed.
- Safeguarding: Assess claimant vulnerabilities and apply necessary safeguards.
- Promoting Universal Credit: Advocate for the benefits of Universal Credit Full Service (UCFS), sharing best practices with claimants and colleagues.
- Adaptability: Demonstrate resilience by embracing change and evolving work practices in the Universal Credit environment.
Essential Criteria:
- GCSEs (or Level 2 equivalent) in Maths and English, graded A-C.
- Willingness to complete an Access NI background check (facilitated by The Recruitment Co).
