When sifting through an endless stream of CV’s, as a hiring manager you’re constantly looking out for that special something that makes a candidate stand out from the rest.  

Director at Halo Resourcing, Amanda White, says she was doing just that when she noticed a CV, which she says, made her day.

Speaking with LinkedIn, Amanda explained how one witty applicant turned a common red flag into something of “pure brilliance”.

The jobseeker in question explained her 2-year gap of employment simply with:

“2008-2010: Housewife – Kept two children alive.”

Which was a refreshing twist on an otherwise potentially red flagged CV.

As previously stated, White described this move as one of “pure brilliance.” stating that it was great “to see some personality shine through on a CV.”
