Admin Assistant (Trust Home Care)

Temporary Position | Immediate Start Available
Salary: £12.75 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, with 7:00am – 3:00pm shifts on a rotational basis once fully trained.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an Admin Assistant to join the Trust Home Care team based at Mullinure Health & Wellbeing Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator to support the delivery of vital home care services within the local community.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Home Care team, assisting with staff rostering, maintaining accurate records, coordinating workforce cover, and liaising with care staff, service users, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure an efficient service is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Trust Home Care service.
- Act as a first point of contact for service users, carers, and staff, dealing with enquiries and queries professionally.
- Maintain and update staff availability and assist with scheduling and rota management.
- Coordinate cover for annual leave, sickness absence, training, and other staffing requirements.
- Liaise with Home Care Supervisors regarding staffing and rota issues.
- Process payroll and invoice-related information accurately and within required timescales.
- Maintain employee records and personal files.
- Monitor and order stationery and office supplies.
- Produce reports and statistical information using various IT systems.
- Assist with recruitment administration and general office duties.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must have:
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Availability to work between 7:00am and 5:00pm on a rotational rota basis.
- Either:
- 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C), including English Language and Maths (or equivalent/higher qualification) plus 1 year’s clerical/administrative experience; OR
- 2 years’ clerical/administrative experience.
- A full current UK driving licence and access to a car upon appointment.
