Administrative & Clerical Officer
Salary: £12.74 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday)
Location: Dundonald
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and organised Administrative & Clerical Officer to provide high-quality administrative support within a busy healthcare environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, has strong organisational skills, and can manage a varied workload while delivering excellent customer service. You will play an important role in supporting patient services, maintaining accurate records, coordinating appointments, and assisting colleagues across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update patient information on electronic systems.
- Schedule appointments and admissions in line with agreed procedures and priorities.
- Scan, upload and maintain electronic records and documentation.
- Produce reports and statistical information, including waiting time data.
- Process incoming mail and emails promptly and accurately.
- Maintain electronic and manual filing systems.
- Respond to enquiries from patients, healthcare professionals and colleagues.
- Provide reception cover and act as a first point of contact when required.
- Arrange meetings and prepare minutes.
- Support audits and data quality checks.
- Assist with the induction and training of new team members.
- Allocate and monitor work within the team where appropriate.
- Contribute to service improvements and implementation of new processes.
- Undertake general administrative duties including photocopying, scanning and correspondence management.
