Job Description:

– First Contact Team Member

As a First Contact Team Member, you hold a vital role in the Department. You will be the first point of contact for claimants and a key part of helping individuals and their families towards financial independence and enabling them to claim the support they need as they progress.

There are 4 areas of work within the FCT which will need covered, these are:

Meet, Greet and Direct.

Reception.

Digital Zone.

Claimant Support.

A good member of the FCT is positive, enthusiastic, adaptable supportive, innovative, focused, goal-oriented, knowledgeable, observant, respectful, patient and a clear communicator.

Key Skills for carrying out the 4 functions within the FCT

Be calm, relaxed and friendly.

Introduce yourself.

Speak clearly and simply.

Listen. The number one way to get a positive reaction is to listen first.

Question and Converse – encourage claimants to reflect, analyse and explore their own goals. Reflect. What the claimant has said.

Recognise Strengths and acknowledge them.

Challenge misconceptions and barriers especially within the Digital Zone.

Make it real and doable for the claimant.

Wage:

– £11.99ph (weekly)

Location:

– Enniskillen Jobs and Benefits Office

Start Dates:

– ASAP

Essential Criteria:

– 5 GCSEs Including Maths & English (Must have certificate Proof)

Duration Of Placement:

– Up to 51 weeks

Work Pattern:

– Mon – Fri 9 to 5 (Flexible working policy and hybrid working policy effective after 6 months post training)

Hours Per Week:

– 37
