Job Title: Administrator
Location: Newport
Salary: £20.000-£22.000
Hours: Full time. Monday – Friday 37.5 hour week (08:30-5:00 pm) Temporary role, could go permanent

Here at The Recruitment Co, we are currently recruiting an Administrator to work for a client of ours based in the Newport area.

Main Job roles:

  • Provide general administration support to the site
  • Cover the weighbridge on a daily basis, plus cover for holiday and sickness which may include any hours between 06:00 and 18:00
  • Ensure the Company’s weighbridge procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Liaison with customers, lorry drivers, contractors and any other visitors to the company who may call at the weighbridge
  • Deal with incoming telephone enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
  • Deal with visitors to the site in a friendly and professional manner
  • Co-ordinate with yard personnel to ensure the correct processing of all loads
  • Ensure compliance by all staff, contractors and visitors to the site with the Company Health and Safety Policy
  • Control site purchase order systems
  • Ensure site accounting records are kept accurate and up to date, and that reporting requirements for the Head Office Accounts Department are met
  • Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
  • Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community

To be considered

  • Proven track record administration in an industrial operations environment
  • Strong IT skills comprising Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint – training will be given on Company specific software systems
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Management of SHEC and admin systems
  • Weighbridge protocol and company reporting procedures
