The Recruitment Co are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our client in Runcorn on a permanent basis.
Salary:
£40,000 per annum – DOE
- Bonus is paid annually based on turnover and profitability, company targets are set at the beginning of the financial year
- 25 days holiday + stats, based on full year 1st January – 31st December
- Company car, phone,
- Up to 7.5% of salary contributed by the company after qualifying period
- Private health cover after qualifying period (please note this is a benefit to the individual and is taxable)
Location:
Runcorn, Cheshire
Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday 9am until 5pm
Friday 9am until 3pm
The Role:
- Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients
- Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing
- proposals to address these needs
- Effective time management, ability to work independently without supervision
- Responsible for P&L and forecasting, achievement of pre-agreed sales targets.
- Implementing joint marketing activities to generate further business.
- Complete and maintain accurate records and report status of each appointment,
- pipeline, and daily activity
- Strong account management skills. Comfortable with overseeing a full portfolio of
- high profile blue chip accounts
- Solid account management skills. First rate negotiator and communicator
- Well versed in dealing with a variety of channels
- To liaise with colleagues including Sales and Marketing, Admin, and Warehousing Staff, ensuring information is communicated clearly and punctually whilst having the ability to work autonomously.
Experience / Skills
An Accomplished Business Development Manager with a proven track record of
sales success,
Strong commercial and analytical skills, providing activity reports for regular
discussion
A passion for developing accounts together with building solid professional
relationships. Defending and growing existing sales, distributions and profitability.
Ability to understand the economics of promotions, Marketing and Social Media to
develop the business.
Experience with dealing with large companies throughout Europe would be desirable.
