Catering Supervisor

Location: Newry
Pay Rates:

• Monday to Friday: £12.75 per hour
• Saturday: £17.22 per hour
• Sunday: £21.55 per hour

The Recruitment Co. is currently recruiting for a Catering Supervisor to join a busy healthcare catering team in Newry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced catering professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality food and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise catering operations across patient meal services, dining areas and coffee bars.
• Lead and support catering staff to ensure an efficient and high-quality service.
• Monitor and maintain food hygiene, HACCP, Health & Safety and COSHH standards.
• Ensure compliance with dietary requirements and allergen regulations.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training and development.
• Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Complete audits and implement service improvements where required.
• Manage stock, consumables and catering equipment effectively.
• Handle customer, patient and staff enquiries professionally.
• Support the management of staffing matters, including attendance and performance processes.

Essential Criteria

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a customer or patient service role within a healthcare environment or the hospitality industry.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training, including the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
