We are recruiting a Clerical Officer (Band 3) to join our client in Dundonald

Temporary Position
2 shift options :
1. Monday – Friday 34.75 hour

2. Monday – Friday 30 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Inputting and maintaining patient information on electronic systems
• Booking appointments and admissions in line with relevant protocols
• Managing patient waiting lists and ensuring data accuracy
• Scanning, uploading and processing documents
• Producing reports and carrying out word processing duties
• Maintaining electronic and manual filing systems
• Handling telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries
• Providing reception cover when required
• Organising meetings and taking minutes
• Preparing statistical information and reports
• Managing diaries and prioritising workloads effectively
• Supporting training and induction of new staff
• Assisting with quality improvement initiatives and service developments

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

4 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English Language, plus 1 year’s administrative/clerical experience

OR

NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent), plus 1 year’s administrative/clerical experience

OR

2 years’ administrative/clerical experience

Additionally, applicants must have:

• 1 year’s word processing experience
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable Criteria

Experience using computerised databases
