Job Title: Casual Group Exercise Coach
Location: Seven Towers Leisure Centre, Larne Leisure Centre, Amphitheatre Carrickfergus
Salary: £20 – £30 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and qualified Casual Group Exercise Coaches to join our team. As a Casual Group Exercise Coach, you will be responsible for delivering a structured programme of exercise classes at various locations, enabling individuals to develop their fitness abilities while promoting participation and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service Delivery:
- Support the delivery of a Group Exercise programme at designated leisure centers.
- Assist with the delivery of structured schemes of work promoting progression for all participants.
- Coach and develop participants, ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety and Child Protection guidelines.
- Conduct safety checks on equipment and ensure safety is a priority before and during classes.
- Undertake administrative duties, including attendance records and participant progress reports.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve key objectives.
2. Customer Care:
- Maintain high standards of customer care, taking ownership of complaints and queries.
- Liaise with parents, coaches, and management to ensure excellent service provision.
3. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies, ensuring personal and participant safety.
- Fulfill legal Health and Safety duties, including proper use of work items and personal protective equipment.
4. Professional Development:
- Continuously improve services by seeking opportunities for self-improvement and learning.
- Respect diversity and equality, ensuring all participants’ needs are met.
Essential Criteria:
- Current coaching/teaching qualification in a group exercise discipline (e.g., Group Spin, Aerobic, Water Aerobics, Dance, Circuits, 50+, HITT, 20,20,20, Step, Zumba, Pilates).
- Maintain a sufficient level of fitness to effectively perform the duties of the post.
