The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll play a central role in developing and delivering the Commission’s communications and engagement activities.

You’ll help build awareness of the organisation’s work through:

· Communications strategy development

· Media relations and press engagement

· Stakeholder engagement and relationship building

· Event planning and delivery

· Digital communications and website oversight

· Content creation across multiple platforms

· Public information and awareness campaigns

This is an opportunity to help establish how a new public body communicates with audiences for years to come.

About You

We’re looking for a confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for delivering engaging, high-quality communications.

You should have:

✔ A degree in Communications, Media, Politics, Law or a related discipline (or equivalent qualification)

✔ At least 2 years’ experience in a communications and engagement role within the last 5 years

OR

✔ At least 5 years’ experience in a communications and engagement role within the last 8 years

✔ Experience delivering communications across a range of channels

✔ Strong content creation and stakeholder engagement skills

✔ Experience organising events, campaigns or public engagement activities

✔ The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results to deadline
