Job Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts by reviewing data, applying controls, and verifying transactions by using data analysis tools; review balance sheet accounts to ensure proper posting of balances
  • Prepare monthly financial statements including bank statement.
  • Maintain ledgers by reconciling transactions; analysing data to determine discrepancies; resolving discrepancies by contacting customers, suppliers, or vendors; contacting customers’ representatives to resolve issues.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports by contacting customers or vendors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Process invoices, enter payment information into the purchase ledger to keep track of funds paid
  • Multi-Currency Bank Reconciliations and payment runs
  • Expenses – gaining approval and producing expense reports and preparing payments
  • Check invoices against receipts with scrutiny to ensure that all products and/or services purchased are delivered.
  • Prepare payables reports.
  • Prepare, process and authorise payments via cheque or BACS
  • Supplier statement reconciliation.
  • Accurate accounting data entry.
  • Maintain and organise electronic filing system.
  • Answer any phone and email queries in relation to associated tasks
  • Carry out any other tasks deemed necessary by management
  • Handle any purchase enquiries or disputes with suppliers
  • Providing cover for other finance functions when required including taking payments and contacting customers.

The Person:

  • Experience of office working
  • Credit control role experience
  • Knowledge of Sage 200
  • Credit hound / Credit safe experience
  • Understanding of Dexterity (or any warehouse digital system would be useful)
