My client, a UK national leader in logistics, is looking to recruit a Depot Manager for their extremely busy depot in Paisley.

ROLE

Continual improvement, development and efficiency of the depot. Managing between 20 – 30 employees.

Monday to Friday – 45 hours

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 depending on experience + excellent benefit package.

Duties Include:

• To manage all areas of the operation including warehouse, distribution, logistics, office duties and suppliers
• Manage the operation to ensure all resources work effectively and efficiently
• Assist in the development of current procedures and work practices, where necessary to improve efficiency
• Ensure all staff are utilised effectively to to meet operational requirements
• Weekly financial reporting and looking at efficiency methods
• Ensuring all security, compliance and work practices are followed
• Customer visits to understand full requirements , agree and implement any procedural changes or corrective actions
• To train and develop staff for career progression
• Effective People Management – employee development, low levels of absenteeism and zero accident rates
• Work with finance team to understand all areas of spend to ensure that we are procuring cost effectively

Requirements:

• Transport Manager CPC operators licence
• Experienced in Depot Management within Logistics and Transport
• Experienced in leading, developing and getting the best out of people
• Have a good working knowledge of profit and loss
• Driving licence essential
