The Recruitment Co. is urgently recruiting for a Finished Goods Warehouse Operator with FLT counterbalance Licence & Ideally a HGV Licence (Class 1) to join our clients team based in the Baglan area. Paid Weekly! Temp to perm contract!!

Rate of pay: £11.23ph + 15% shift allowance = £12.91ph (overtime available at higher rates)

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 2 shift pattern 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00

Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks providing candidate meets performance and job spec criteria below.

Purpose of the role:
To guarantee finished goods storage and loading preparation in compliance with working instructions and safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

• Move pallets around the facility and stoke them in the correct storage bay
• Manage the warehouse extraordinary operations in line with the system requirement and work instructions received
• Prepare the loading area in compliance with loading schedule documentation and sign it
• Identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies
• Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed
• Operate forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
• Identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies
• Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults
• Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with the work instructions
• Carry out periodic stock taking activities
• Guarantee the warehouse space optimisation
• Work closely and in cooperation with the rest of the day services and shift teams
• To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
• To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
• Requirements packing off finished product for Amazon area, stacking product and wrapping, labelling stock and loading onto trailer.
• General housekeeping in the working area and supporting the company’s Finished Goods area when required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have previous experience within a warehouse / Operator role and ideally come from a heavy industry background.
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence RTITB Accredited & Ideally a HGV Class 1 licence for covering sickness/ holidays as and when required but this is not essential
• DBS checks will be carried out on day 1 of the assignment and the company offers a NO conviction policy.
