Core Duties: This role will be covering holiday’s only at this point. Both day & night shifts.
- Access Control:
Monitoring and managing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, opening and closing gates, and issuing passes.
- Surveillance:
Observing and monitoring security cameras, and identifying suspicious activity or potential security breaches.
- Communication:
Interacting with staff, visitors, and contractors, providing information, and answering queries.
- Security Checks:
Conducting spot checks, vehicle and handbag searches, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of access and egress, visitor logs, and incident reports.
- Emergency Response:
Responding to alarms, assisting in evacuations, and providing first aid if trained.
- Customer Service:
Providing friendly and professional customer service to visitors and staff.
Additional Responsibilities (May Vary):
- Security Risk Assessments:
Contributing to the identification and assessment of security risks.
- Health and Safety:
Delivering inductions, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and managing the fire register.
- Property Management:
Managing hired equipment, delivering space management, and coordinating communications.
- Site Security:
Implementing and maintaining site security procedures, including patrols and checks.
Key Skills:
- Communication:
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with staff and visitors.
- Customer Service:
Friendly and professional interpersonal skills for providing a positive experience to those entering and exiting the site.
- Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and resolve security issues, such as unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Attention to Detail:
Thoroughness in record-keeping, security checks, and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Time Management:
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks, particularly during busy periods or emergencies.
- First Aid and Emergency Response:
Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency evacuation protocols, especially if the role includes fire marshal duties.
