Role Overview

The Hostel Assistant will provide day‑to‑day operational support within Hillview House Hostel, supporting applicants, liaising with internal teams, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery. The postholder will support complex applicants, assist with housing processes, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to applicants
• Liaise with the Team Lead and Housing Solutions teams
• Support and engage with complex applicants
• Carry out property viewings
• Complete sign‑up processes
• Order furniture as required
• Provide an on‑call service when necessary

  Hours, Pay & Conditions

• Weekly Hours: 37
• Workdays: 5 per week
• Hourly Rate: £13.69
• Post Grade: B3 (SCP 7)
• Holiday Entitlement: 23 days + 12 public holidays (B1–6 scale)

  Requirements

• IT proficiency at beginner level
• Driving essential
• Experience: Less than 1 year required
• Access NI: Basic check required
• All equipment and health & safety items will be provided
• Minimum 20‑minute break, flexible between 12pm–2pm
• All facilities available on site
