Our client is looking for 2 x Livestock Instructors to join their team!
Location – Greenmount Campus
Start Date – 02/09/2024
Duration of Contract – 2024/25 Academic Year (9 Months)
Work Pattern – Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (37 per week)
Rate of Pay – £15.97 per hour
Main Duties of Role
1. To teach a range of practical sheep and cattle skills to Level 2 and 3 students, as specified in the course programme. Skills to include weighing, dosing, injecting and tagging stock and selecting animals for slaughter.
2. To assess student competence in a range of practical sheep and cattle skills to Level 2 and 3 students. Skills to include weighing, dosing, injecting and tagging stock and selecting animals for slaughter.
3. To complete all appropriate documentation relating to each instruction and assessment session as required.
4. To record/evaluate learner performance and provide feedback.
5. To undertake required training as prescribed by Course Awarding Bodies, funding agencies, DAERA, CAFRE
6. To undertake all other duties as assigned by line manager.
7. To attend FE Team meetings.
Essential Experience
The applicant must possess a minimum of a:
Level 3 qualification or work-based Level 3 qualification in Agriculture (livestock).
Or
A National Diploma/Extended Diploma Level 3 qualification in Agriculture
AND
Practical experience of working with beef and sheep livestock.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience of delivery and assessment of student learning is also beneficial.
