The Recruitment Co is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Supervisor to work for our client in Barnsley.
Salary: £35k per annum plus a shift allowance
Shifts: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am
Responsibilities:
- Daily brief with Team Coordinators to review daily goals and prioritising urgent requirements
- Coach, Mentor and guide all Team Coordinators
- Make sure all material boards are updated by TC’s and that they are attending meetings
- Manage completion of all TC’s Shift handovers and that have the correct level of accuracy and detail required.
- Next day planning
- Conduct weekly safety audits
- Review all SOP’s on a regular basis keeping them up to date at all times
- Communicate with all relevant departments to ensure a sufficient level of support is given
- Responsible for stock integrity always, making sure all system transactions are actioned in a timely manner
- Daily PI counts are carried out and the monthly schedule is completed, and all adjustments are investigated thoroughly
- Make sure all employees adhere to H+S requirements while meeting departmental goals
- Conduct accident and incident investigations in a timely manner to an acceptable high standard.
- Conduct safety and SOP training making sure skills matrix is always kept up-to date
- Walk through with new employees to review safety processes
- Holiday management always making sure enough cover for the department to run efficiently
- Make sure the warehouse is always kept clean and tidy making sure all materials are stored in locations
Requirements:
- GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent
- Supervision of upwards 30 people
- Lean Manufacturing (Ideally Green Belt qualified or equivalent)
- Stock Control/Warehouse Management
- Strong, proven ability to build effective relationships
- Excellent cross functional team working skills
- A collaborative approach to working together and problem solving
- Proactively contributes to the team
- Has the ability to work to deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and results-focus
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented
